About this Role

Dallow Primary School is a warm and welcoming school with 630 pupils on role and three classes in each year group.  It received a Good rating from Ofsted in May 2023, with the report stating that "Pupils like attending this friendly and happy school.  They are confident, polite and welcoming to visitors.  They are kind and considerate of each other.  This means that pupils feel happy and safe”. 

Located in the vicinity of the M1, A5 link roads and the L&D hospital, the school has a diverse pupil population, with students from all different religions, cultures, and language backgrounds.  The school considers this diversity to be a valuable asset.

Overview of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an HLTA to take on a unique role based in our Inclusion Hub. You will work alongside teachers and TA  to help deliver an inclusive curriculum for our vulnerable pupils.  You will lead on interventions, both academic and pastoral; planning, preparing and delivering them to small groups or individuals or supporting others to do so. You will work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to support target setting and the planning of provision to meet the needs of vulnerable pupils, such as, creating timetables of learning activities to meet the pupils' EHCP and IEP targets. You will be involved in the day to day running and organisation of the Hub, ensuring it meets the needs of the children accessing the space. You will support TA training, under the guidance of the SENCO. You will play a role in monitoring provision and assessing pupil progress and outcomes, in order to provide feedback to teachers and SENCO.
