This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary Class Teacher to join Birchills Church of England Community Academy, part of St Chad’s Academies Trust. Guided by our vision, "With God all things are possible", and the Trust mission, "Children First; in the footsteps of St Chad," everything we do is centred on ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential.
As a class teacher, you will take responsibility for the learning, progress and wellbeing of your pupils, delivering high-quality teaching that inspires curiosity, resilience and a love of learning. You will set ambitious expectations for all learners and provide an inclusive classroom environment where every child can flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
At Birchills, relationships are at the heart of our success. You will foster a calm, respectful and purposeful learning environment where children feel safe, valued and confident. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENDCo and wider support services, you will be committed to removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of their starting points, are able to thrive.
We are proud of our strong community ethos and our commitment to developing the whole child through our Christian values of Respect, Friendship, Service, Justice, Perseverance and Forgiveness. You will play an active role in the wider life of the academy, contributing to curriculum development, enrichment opportunities and the continual improvement of teaching and learning.
As part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, you will join a supportive and collaborative team of professionals who are passionate about education and committed to continuous improvement. We place great importance on professional development and offer opportunities to work alongside colleagues across the Trust, sharing expertise and best practice.
Birchills Church of England Community Academy is committed to colleague wellbeing and sustainable working practices. We provide guaranteed PPA time, operate within STPCD directed time limits and promote a culture of professional respect, teamwork and support. We welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their career who are reflective, ambitious for children and aligned with our values and vision, regardless of faith background.
We strongly encourage prospective candidates to visit the academy prior to applying. To arrange a visit, please contact the academy office.
