The town of Corby in situated in the north of the county and is close to the market towns of Stamford, Uppingham, Oakham and Market Harborough. There are good transport links to the southeast and the city of Leicester is only a 35 minute drive.
We require an
enthusiastic and highly committed person who will be an excellent ICT teacher - 0.4FTE. We are looking primarily for a teacher of ICT, all key stages,
with capacity to potentially teach a second subject of History or Geography at
KS3 level. We are committed to delivering quality training in both these
areas and happy to develop staff who are proficient in one but are yet to have
experience in the other. This could be an excellent way to expand your skill and
knowledge base in an additional subject area.
This post is also suitable for a teacher looking to take on
a pastoral responsibility. For the right candidate there is the potential for a
whole school pastoral role. The Head of House role is a wonderful opportunity
to hone your leadership skills and affect positive change in a family
environment at Lodge Park Academy. The Head of House role at LPA operates in a
similar way to a Head of Year post. You will be responsible for working with
approximately 130 students. You will work closely with a pastoral manager who
is a non-teaching member of staff attached to your house.

burden away from the teachers, conducting detentions, following up and dealing
with parents on your behalf.
