Grade H6 - £22,742 inclusive per annum (based on 32.5 hours per week/paid weeks per year)

32.5 hours per week - Term Time Only + INSET (39 weeks per year)

Monk’s Walk is a high‑performing, oversubscribed secondary school seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our Cover Team from September 2026 to help us continue raising standards across our curriculum.

This is an ideal opportunity for a confident, organised individual who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·         Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials in the absence of teaching staff
• ·         Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• ·         Supporting pupils with their learning and encouraging high expectations
• ·         Collaborating with teaching staff and the wider school team to ensure continuity of learning

 We are looking for someone who:

• ·         Is passionate about working with young people
• ·         Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
• ·         Can manage a classroom effectively and confidently
• ·         Is flexible, reliable, and professional Is keen to develop their skills and potentially explore a route into teaching

Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential – full training and induction will be provided

 This position is 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only plus 5 INSET days.
