Wembley High Technology College is one of the highest performing schools in the country. Nationally, the achievement of our pupils is exceptional; in 2025, our Progress 8 score of +1.74, our students on average achieved nearly two grades higher than their peers nationally. This progress from Key Stage 2 to GCSE has a transformative impact on our pupils’ life chances and last year, over 60% of pupils leaving us went on to Russell Group universities to study a range of academic subjects.
The Science Department
As a Science Technician, you will
work closely with our Lead Science Technician and teaching staff to:

Prepare and organise
chemicals, equipment, and apparatus
·
Support KS3–5
practical activities, demonstrations, and experiments, including for A Level
and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
·
Maintain
laboratories, prep rooms, and stock levels
·
Ensure compliance
with health and safety procedures (CLEAPSS guidance, risk assessments)
· Contribute to the smooth daily running of a busy department
Our students are highly motivated, and many go on to study Medicine, Engineering, Natural Sciences, and other STEM pathways at university.
