About this Role

Behaviour Support Manager

Start Date: 13th April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

Salary: Point 15- Point 18 (£30, 024 - £31, 537 FTE Pro Rata)

35 hours per week, 8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m., term time only, including inset days

We are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Manager to run and coordinate our isolation room at The Dean Academy. The successful candidate must have a passion for working with young people to support them to embody our core values of “We are Respectful, We are Responsible, We are Ready”. You will have responsibility for supervising and coordinating the implementation and delivery of the school’s isolation room, as a core part of the school’s behaviour management procedures, ultimately reducing the number of students excluded from school and supporting in the maintenance of a productive learning environment for all.

You will have the presence, experience and personality to manage, supervise, challenge and motivate students. This role forms a core part of the school’s pastoral team and you will need to work closely with students, other school colleagues and parents/carers. As an individual, you will be motivated, positive, have a flexible and calm approach and be able to respond to the needs of the individuals you are working with.
