We are looking to appoint someone who can deliver engaging geography lessons that develop students’ understanding of physical and human environments, global issues, and spatial skills. Plans, assesses, and adapts teaching to support diverse learners while promoting critical thinking, fieldwork skills, and curiosity about the world.

Key responsibilities: 

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students 
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring all students make strong progress regardless of starting point.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote high expectations and a culture of respect.
• Use a range of assessment data to inform teaching, monitor outcomes and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports student growth.
• To work collaboratively with other professionals and manage the work of support staff to enhance students’ learning

Pay range: 

MPS: £32,916 - £45,352

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
• Degree in subject specialism
• Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons
• Effective classroom management
