About this Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly efficient, self-motivated and organised Clerk to support both our Governing Board and Foundation Directors Board.

This is a pivotal role, which goes beyond straightforward administration.  You will ensure both Boards operate with confidence and maintain compliance with varied legal and regulatory frameworks.  The role is essential in helping both the Governing Board and the Foundation Company navigate their various obligations in supporting St George’s School Academy Trust.  

This is a part-time position working 10 hours a week, plus additional meeting time allowance, term time plus 1 week.

The successful candidate should have: 

  • Demonstrable experience in minute-taking and working with committee structures.
  • Strong knowledge of governance legislation, procedures and regulations relevant to the organisation.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a high level of literacy.
  • Knowledge of the core functions and elements of effective governance and board practice as they apply to the organisation.
  • An ability to maintain discretion and strict confidentiality at all times.

Contract: Permanent, part-time

Grade: H6 (Basic salary £29,540 to £32, 061 plus annual outer fringe allowance of £729) FTE

Hours: 10 hours per week, with additional hours for committee meetings claimed on timesheet

Term time plus 1 week

Actual Salary: £6,828 to £7,408 per annum, plus fringe

Personal Statement
