About this Role

Are you ready to inspire the next generation? As a Cover Supervisor at The Trinity Catholic School, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our students continue to thrive — even when their usual teacher is absent. Every day is different, and every lesson is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

You’ll create a purposeful, positive learning environment, guide students through pre-prepared work, and help them stay focused and engaged so their learning never misses a beat.

If you’re passionate about supporting young people, committed to helping them achieve their potential, and excited to be part of a warm, faith‑centred community, we’d love to hear from you.

This is your chance to take on a dynamic role leading lessons across KS3 and KS4, with occasional opportunities to work with KS5, and to contribute to the wider life of our welcoming Academy.

This is a permanent role starting 13 April 2026, working 32.5 hours per week, term time only.

About Us

The Trinity Catholic School is a high‑achieving, inclusive secondary school and sixth form in Nottingham, proudly rated Good by Ofsted.

Steeped in history dating back to 1844, when the Sisters of Mercy first opened the original school in Nottingham, Trinity has grown into a vibrant, modern community educating over 1,100 young people today.

We are part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, working collaboratively with 36 Catholic schools across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire to deliver exceptional education grounded in faith, respect, and aspiration.

Students at Trinity are known for their excellent behaviour, strong sense of community, and commitment to learning, with inspectors praising their politeness, courtesy, and pride in their school.

You will:

  • Supervise KS3, KS4, and occasional KS5 students, ensuring they stay on task with pre-set learning activities.
  • Be caring, supportive, and driven to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Build positive relationships and foster a classroom environment where every learner feels able to succeed.
  • Believe that every young person — regardless of background — can achieve exceptional things.
  • Promote student wellbeing, offering guidance, positivity, and encouragement.
  • Engage confidently with large groups of students and model professional standards.
  • Be organised, proactive, and determined in a fast-paced school environment.
  •   What’s in it for you?
  •          An actual salary of £19,386 - £20,330 per annum (OLOL Band 3; Scale Points 6 - 9)
  •          Wonderful students who have a passion for learning and deserve the very best.
  •          A team of talented and highly committed staff in a supportive working environment.
  •          Terms and Conditions - we have committed to following nationally agreed terms and conditions for pay for both teachers and support staff.
  •          Fantastic benefits:
  •       Generous Pension Scheme with employer contributions over 20%.
  •       Access to top-tier CPD opportunities tailored to your development.
  •       Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providing emotional, financial, and legal support for you and your family.
  •       Exclusive perks: From staff discounts to a Cycle-to-Work scheme, we’ve got you covered!
  •       A welcoming community: Work with enthusiastic students, supportive colleagues, and a leadership team that values your expertise.
  •       Term time only working.
