About us

The Trinity Catholic School is a secondary school located in Nottingham. We are an Ofsted-rated Good school.  We are a fantastic place to work and aim to develop our young people spiritually, socially and academically with Christ at the centre of our work.  Our school motto, ‘Ad Dei Gloriam’ meaning what we do we offer to the glory of God, underpins the ethos of the school.

We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

You will:

  • Deliver a broad, balanced and well-structured curriculum that is appropriately differentiated, informed by strong subject knowledge and the application of the Religious Education Curriculum Directory.
  • Monitor and support students’ academic progress and personal development, including responsibilities as a Form Tutor, ensuring they are well-prepared for progression from KS2 to KS5 and Further/Higher education.
  • Create a motivating learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential and contributes to raising overall attainment.
  • Work independently, using initiative to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.

What’s in it for you?

  • A salary of £32,916 - £51,048 per annum (MPS1 – UPS 3) plus TLR 2b award, currently £5,869 per annum.
  • Wonderful students who have a passion for learning and deserve the very best.
  • A team of talented and highly committed staff in a supportive working environment.
  • Terms and Conditions - we have committed to following nationally agreed terms and conditions for pay for teachers.

Fantastic benefits:

  • Access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme.
  • Access to top-tier CPD opportunities tailored to your development.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providing emotional, financial, and legal support for you and your family.
  • Exclusive perks: From staff discounts to a Cycle-to-Work scheme, we’ve got you covered!
  • A welcoming community: Work with enthusiastic students, supportive colleagues, and a leadership team that values your expertise.

Visits are warmly welcomed and we encourage you to talk to us to learn more about the role.  Please contact the school at office@trinity.nottingham.sch.uk  to arrange a visit or to discuss the role further.

The application deadline for this will be Monday 16 March 2026 at 9.00am

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks including online searches are required for successful applicants in line with Safer Recruitment Practices.

You do not need to be a Catholic to work for out Trust and we warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities, and beliefs. This includes those of all faiths, the Catholic faith and those without a faith who are supportive of the Trust’s Catholic character and Christian ethos. This diversity is fundamental to our values and enriches the lives of the students within our schools.

Our Trust strives to be a supportive, inclusive, caring, and positive community where every staff member has a sense of belonging.   We are a Disability Confident Committed employer and welcome applications from people with a disability or long-term health condition.
