About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Head of Health and Social Care at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls to join a talented and supportive Social Sciences team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a highly successful subject area which is valued by students. The successful candidate will:

  • Lead on curriculum development in Health & Social Care and plan creatively for high-quality teaching, learning and assessment. 
  • Be accountable for the highest standards of student achievement through the monitoring and evaluation of student achievement and setting targets for improvement.
  • Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our students.
  • Inspire young women with a passion for Health & Social Care
  • Plan creatively for high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Deliver highly effective and engaging lessons with the aspiration of raising the academic progression of our students. 
  • Be motivated to challenge, support and develop other colleagues. 
  • Work collaboratively across the school
  • Have a QTS qualification
