About this Role

Salary: ALT Grade E( £22,105.48 - £22,999.12 Actual)
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time Plus (38.4 Weeks)
Location: Cromwell Community College, Chatteris 

Cromwell Community College is seeking a compassionate and proactive Triage Officer to play a key role in delivering outstanding pastoral care for our pupils. This role focuses on supporting students’ emotional and academic well-being, working closely with the Pastoral Team to respond to issues and concerns as they arise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for pupils and communicate effectively with parents/carers.
  • Facilitate restorative conversations and support positive behaviour for learning.
  • Liaise with external agencies and coordinate referrals for vulnerable pupils (SEND, disadvantaged, CIC).
  • Monitor behaviour trends and ensure effective interventions are in place.
  • Safeguard pupils, recording bullying, homophobic, and racist incidents.
  • Manage the Sending Room, including greeting pupils, setting work, and administering after-school detentions.
  • Support whole-school events, transitions, and parental meetings where appropriate.
  • Lead and train Pupil Support Officers and maintain accurate records of interventions.
