About this Role

The Wensum Trust is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic colleague to work in our PE Department at Hellesdon High School.

The successful applicant will be able to teach across all years including GCSE and A Level. The PE department is made up of 6 full time members of staff. We have excellent facilities including; sports hall, swimming pool, gymnasium and a 3G football pitch.  We have an extensive extra-curricular programme and strong links with our feeder schools, junior schools, local special schools and the wider community.  We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have the ability to teach swimming at Key Stage 3 and who hold a trampoline gymnastics level 1 or 2 qualification. This post would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.

At Hellesdon High School we are committed to an evidence-informed approach and a strong subject specific basis to our CPD programme.  As a school and trust we offer a number of career development opportunities and have great success in supporting staff seeking career development.

As part of The Wensum Trust, we believe that our shared duty is to help every child to develop into high achieving, confident, healthy, caring and resilient members of their family and community. We want our schools to be healthy environments where both children and staff can develop and where strong, positive relationships are key. Our school, therefore, practices a relational approach with children, our families and our communities. We are particularly interested in working with people who share Our Qualities; who will work effectively and flexibly as part of a team.

We care about bringing together the most able people, to help us achieve our vision of providing a rounded education for children, quality support for their families and opportunities to enrich our communities.
