CLEANER

Location:  Joseph Leckie Academy, Walstead Road West, Walsall, WS5 4PG

Grade:  Grade 2, SCP 2-4. Actual salary: £8,949 - £9,440

Contract/Hours:  15 hours per week.   Permanent Contract, Term Time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks). 

Reports to:  Estates Manager/Deputy Estates Manager/Cleaning Supervisor.

Accountable to:  Principal and Estates Manager

Joseph Leckie Academy is seeking a dedicated and proactive Cleaner to join our team.

You will assist in providing comprehensive cleaning support to the Academy by undertaking a range of tasks as assigned to you by a Cleaning Supervisor.

 Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that the academy’s environment is clean, hygienic, and safe for students, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the academy, including classrooms, offices, common areas, toilets, and washrooms.
• Support the health, safety, and wellbeing of the academy community through effective cleaning practices.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning after school events or activities as needed.
• Support and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and external professionals.
• Excellent communication skills
