About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic technician to play a key role in supporting our Food and Textiles departments, helping to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. This varied and hands-on role involves preparing and organising materials and equipment, supporting staff and students during practical lessons, and maintaining a safe, well-organised, and stimulating working environment.

The successful candidate will have:

·         The ability to manage, monitor and maintain accurate stock/equipment records.

·         The ability to follow strict procedures related to health, safety and hygiene, including the maintenance of equipment.

·         The ability to work as part of a team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

·         Good communication skills both written and oral and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and students.

·         Good planning and organisational skills.

·         The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment using your own initiative and prioritise.

·         A flexible and adaptable attitude.

·         Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
