We require a reliable, enthusiastic and organised Learning Support
Assistant to support our students with Special Educational Needs within the
classroom and work independently with small groups and individuals in the
Learning Support Department. Applicants will be patient, with the ability
to listen and build constructive relationships with young people.
Experience of working with young people with special needs particularly within
a formal educational setting would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must be computer literate, have GCSE grade C
(or equivalent) in English and Maths with an awareness of the barriers to
learning that students with SEN face. A qualification in British Sign
Language would be desirable as we have a number of hearing impaired students
joining the school.
We welcome immediate applications for this post and all applications will be considered immediately upon receipt, we will interview and appoint accordingly and we reserve the right to make an appointment before the deadline.
We are a fully inclusive school that is dedicated to both supporting and challenging all members of our diverse community and to develop the potential in all our students, no matter what their starting point. Pastoral care is of the highest importance and we are committed to providing the best possible learning environment to develop confident, independent learners. We provide an ambitious and broad curriculum and ensure that students have opportunities outside the classroom to develop and inspire them, including a wide range of extracurricular activities.
