Contract : Full time and permanent
Salary : M1-UP3
The Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and ambitious
teacher of Design & Technology to join our well established and successful
Applied Learning and Technology Faculty. The post would suit an experienced or
newly qualified teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard
and raising the aspirations and achievements of our students.
In the Applied Learning and Technology Faculty we have an
excellent KS3 curriculum and currently offer OCR Child Development and WJEC
Hospitality and Catering in KS4. Both of which are very popular and achieve
excellent results. The faculty is staffed by experienced, supportive specialist
staff and we are fortunate to have regular student teachers in Food and Design
and Technology on placement from Worcester University and through other
providers. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher starting their career
in Design Technology teaching or someone to bring their experience to a new
setting and help shape our KS4 curriculum. Excellent support will be provided
within the Technology Department and from across the school to help you
continue your development as a teacher.
Oldbury Academy values Design & Technology and we are a
well-resourced faculty with two Technicians in Design and Technology and one in
Food. We are in the process of updating our CAD/CAM equipment to support the
delivery of the new qualification and are looking to recruit a qualified
teacher of Design and Technology with a specialism in Wood, Metal, Electronics,
Graphics or Product Design.
Early Career Teachers are
most welcome to apply for this role.
