About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and passionate specialist to lead our outstanding English department.  This is a tremendous opportunity to lead a high performing team of specialist teachers who consistently achieve outstanding outcomes for our students. We are justifiably proud of our excellent results, achieving an Attainment 8 score of 4.9 in 2025 and believe that we offer both students and staff a caring environment in which they can succeed. Overall, 83% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above, 71% achieved a grade 5 or above and 28% achieved a grade 7 or above.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge about curriculum design.
  • An outstanding track record within your current department and position.
  • Experience of developing and holding staff accountable.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience for the above position and are interested in joining our staff team, please apply directly via My New Term.
