We are seeking to appoint, for September 2026, an outstanding Head of Business to join our motivated and supportive Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty. The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, inspiring and motivating teacher and leader who can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and will ensure students and subject teachers have high aspirations and achieve their best.
The role would suit an existing Head of Department or an experienced and ambitious teacher ready to move into middle leadership.

Business is a popular and successful subject at Birchwood with an experienced team of specialist teachers. The department offers Level 2 and 3 BTEC courses as well as A Level Business and has access to two computer rooms; all courses are fully resourced.
