The governors of Summercroft Primary School wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support children with learning  needs. The contract is fixed term as it is linked to funding for specific children. The successful candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to children's learning. We are seeking applicants who have experience in working with children with learning  needs and who can contribute effectively within the class team as well as being confident to work independently. An interest in the specific difficulties, ability to take initiative and a flexible approach within the classroom would be advantageous. Being confident with managing behaviour in a calm and consistent manner and employing a variety of approaches with a sense of humour are also important aspects.

We are recruiting for a position that is 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, from 9:15am - 1:15pm.
