About this Role

Join Our Team as an Exam Invigilator

Hourly Rate: £13.09
Contract: Flexible, Term-Time

Are you calm, reliable, and looking for flexible work in a school environment? St Ivo Academy is seeking Casual Exam Invigilators to join our friendly team and help ensure the smooth running of public and internal examinations.

This is a vital role in supporting our students during a key moment in their academic journey. You’ll help create a secure, fair, and supportive exam environment, working closely with staff and other invigilators.

You’ll be working in a school that’s proud of its 70-year history and deeply rooted in the local community. With around 1,700 students, including a vibrant Sixth Form, we are a truly inclusive and comprehensive academy—supporting everyone from Oxbridge hopefuls to our most vulnerable learners.

What Makes St Ivo Special?

We’re unapologetically ambitious for every child. No matter their background, needs, or starting point, we believe in their potential—and we work hard to help them achieve it. As part of the Astrea Academy Trust, we’re values-driven and committed to providing an inclusive, aspirational, and academic education for all.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A supportive team and visible, approachable leadership
  • Excellent CPD and career development opportunities across the Astrea Cambridgeshire region
  • A beautiful working environment in the heart of Cambridgeshire
  • The chance to be part of a school that truly values its staff and students

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • A professional who shares our belief that every child can achieve, and who is ready to go the extra mile to support that vision

Commitment to Safeguarding and EDI:

Astrea Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All posts are subject to satisfactory background checks, including references and enhanced DBS checks. We value diversity and encourage applications from candidates who are underrepresented in our workforce. As a Disability Confident employer, we are committed to promoting a culture that ensures there are no barriers to the recruitment, development, and progression of disabled staff across the trust. We provide reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process to ensure disabled job applicants have the best opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
