Hitchin Girls’ School is a high performing school, graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, where we provide an exceptional experience for all of our students. We have high level provision for teaching and learning and provide the greatest level of care and support for all students and our staff. Situated in the picturesque and historic market town of Hitchin, it is conveniently located in the beautiful countryside just 25 minutes from London by train and with easy access to motorways and airports. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, professional and highly motivated person to take on the role of Administration and Office Manager. You will lead the office administration team and be responsible for the provision of an efficient and proactive administrative and office support function for the school. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school office while also taking a lead role in first aid provision for students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a small but busy office and have strong organisational and multitasking skills. Key to this appointment will be the ability to communicate clearly with staff, students and parents and have the ability to lead a team and work collaboratively. A first aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training) is essential.

The post is for 4 days a week, 8.30am to 4.00pm, term time including INSET days, plus 1 week. The school highly values CPD and the appointed person will have the opportunity to access appropriate training and support.
