We want someone who is not only a great PE teacher but also passionate about students accessing the widest range possible of after school clubs and competing in fixtures in as many sports as we can accommodate. Our school has a combination of fantastic facilities, passionate students, and enthusiastic staff, all committed to both competitive fixtures and the participation of everyone during a varied curriculum. We offer the GCSE PE at KS4 and BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Sport at KS5. We have a well established Sports Leaders programme and DofE. We are committed to the Slough School Sports Network and partake in as many of their events as possible, both as participants and officials via our young leaders.
Our PE department is centred around a Sports Hall consisting of 4 badminton courts, full size basketball court, full size netball court, indoor football and 4 cricket nets. The Sports Hall height is also sufficient to accommodate both our competition standard trampolines. There are other indoor facilities such as our dance studio and a fully equipped, air conditioned gym. Our extensive grounds also contain a hard-court area with 2 netball courts, a basketball court and an outdoor gym. In addition we have exclusive access to the 8 Power League 3-G pitches which are used by students during lessons, break times, and for extra-curricular activities.
This vacancy would suit an experienced teacher that has outstanding leadership and organisational attributes, preferably with some prior leadership experience in their current post and commitment to extra curricular activities and sports. A minibus driving qualification (D1 licence) or willingness to undertake the training to achieve this would be an advantage.
