Chiltern Hills Academy is seeking a passionate Business
Studies Teacher to take on the additional responsibility of Curriculum
Lead during a period of maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to
influence the direction, quality, and impact of Business Studies within a
thriving secondary school.
About the Role
As Curriculum Lead for Business Studies, you will
play a key role in shaping high‑quality teaching and learning across the
department. Responsibilities include:
Developing and leading a well‑sequenced,
ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and reflects current
educational standards.
Ensuring consistency and high
expectations across the department through modelling best practice and
supporting colleagues with planning and teaching strategies.
Driving improvement through
data, using assessment information and exam performance to identify trends,
address gaps, and inform future planning.
Supporting and mentoring
colleagues, including contributing to professional development and leading
effective departmental meetings.
Working collaboratively with
SLT, other curriculum leads, and external partners to maintain high standards
and share good practice.
Contributing to departmental
quality assurance, including learning walks, book looks, and appraisal
activities as directed.
In addition to your leadership
duties, you will deliver high‑quality Business Studies lessons, maintain strong
behaviour expectations, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
