We are looking for a proactive and highly organised
administrative assistant to support the smooth running of our busy secondary
school office. You will play a key role in day-to-day operations, including
maintaining records, managing communications, supporting attendance processes,
and assisting with school events and meetings.
The role also involved providing a welcome reception service
for students, parents, staff and visitors, ensuring all enquiries are handled
professionally and efficiently. You will work closely with the wider
administrative and pastoral teams to support the school’s vision, values and
commitment to safeguarding.
This role is a maternity cover position until June 2027 or
upon the return of the substantive post holder. The position is part time 15
hours per week, term time only plus 2 additional weeks.
About you
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with
excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail. You will be
comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast paced-school environment and
able to always maintain confidentiality.
Strong IT skills, including the use of word, email,
spreadsheets, and database systems, are essential, along with a friendly,
professional manner when interacting with students, families and colleagues.
You will bring a positive attitude, reliability and a commitment to supporting
the welfare of young people, along with the flexibility to adapt to the varies
demands of a school office.
