About this Role

Robert Smyth Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our committed team. This role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers across Years 7 to 13, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive, productive classroom environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff, following set work and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour in line with the Academy’s values.
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to support learning across a range of subjects.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting curriculum areas when cover is not required.
  • Work as part of a supportive team committed to providing the very best for our students.
