Teacher of Geography (MPS/UPS)

Full-time, permanent post

Do you want to work in a school where the behaviour and attitudes of students is outstanding, a school which is driven by strong values, a caring ethos and a commitment to educational excellence, and where each and every student knows the gift of life in all its fullness?  Furthermore, a school where extra-curricular success is amongst the highest in the country and student outcomes are well above national average.

St Aidan’s C of E High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well‑qualified and inspiring Teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities Faculty from September 2026.

We are looking for a colleague with strong subject knowledge, a genuine passion for Geography, and a drive to inspire young people. The ideal candidate will be innovative in their approach to teaching and curriculum development, committed to raising achievement, and dedicated to promoting high expectations for all students. You will be a strong communicator, a positive team‑player, and someone who contributes actively to both departmental and whole‑school culture.

The ability to teach a second subject would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be able to offer teaching up to advanced level.

In return, we offer a highly supportive and collaborative Humanities Faculty, alongside a rich and varied programme of professional development. CPD opportunities include in‑school training, external Middle Leadership pathways, online learning platforms, Trust‑wide development through the Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust, and access to the Leeds for Learning partnership. You will have the chance to teach enthusiastic students who value learning within a school that invests in its staff and celebrates academic excellence and personal growth.

Completed applications should be submitted by 9am on Monday, 9th March 2026.

A Job Description and Person Specification detailing the requirements of the role are also available to download for your reference.

Interviews will take place during week commencing 16th March 2026.
