The Hemel Hempstead School is a very popular and oversubscribed
school on a beautiful site in the Boxmoor Village area of the town, close
to local and national rail, bus and road links to London. Our GOOD Ofsted
inspection in 2022 praised the school, saying, “Pupils at The Hemel
Hempstead School get a high-quality education. They develop the knowledge they
need to achieve well in all subjects. This is the same for all pupils. Pupils
are keen to learn. As a result, they concentrate in lessons. Pupils say that
they behave well because they understand what they are learning.’
We are looking to
appoint a highly motivated, exceptional individual to take on the role of Head
of Classics (Maternity Cover Appointment). The successful candidate will be
expected to teach Ancient History at A level and Classics at GCSE. A full-time
role would also involve teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 in addition to this.
You will be well organised, resourceful, adaptable, flexible and innovative.
You may be new to teaching, looking for your first post, but will be a highly
capable and have aspirations that the students in your charge achieve to the
very best of their ability.
