About this Role

We are seeking an outstanding, creative and inspirational Teacher of Drama to join our team from the Summer Term 2026. The candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, reflective in their teaching practice and focused on getting the best from every student across all key stages of the secondary curriculum.

Whilst the role is permanent, we can consider a fixed-term contract to the end of the academic year as a possible alternative.

Hours of work: 0.66 FTE- based on a two-week timetable.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE, Cert Ed, Bed)
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Ensure high standards of teaching across the curriculum and have a commitment to challenging learners to achieve well
  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and assessment, reporting and recording processes relating to GCSE Drama and BTEC level 2 and 3 courses
  • Be a passionate, caring and inspirational leader and teacher
  • Be self-motivated and reliable
  • Be enthusiastic about current research on thinking skills and building learning power.
