Kingstone High School is seeking a Pastoral Lead to join our team and support the pastoral needs of our students.

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive pastoral team of four, in a school that works tirelessly to produce confident, self-assured and successful young people. We do everything we can to ensure every single student gets the best possible start.

The successful applicant will:

 Have the ability to work flexibly and effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·         Be able to work within a multi-agency approach to ensure that all families, vulnerable children and young people receive the care and protection they require.

·     Ideally have up to date safeguarding knowledge and experience, working with the school safeguarding lead to implement actions related to safeguarding concerns, with the potential of acting as a deputy safeguarding lead with appropriate training.

·         Ensure that all child protection plans are maintained and implemented

·         Have experience of working with children/young people and families in overcoming barriers to engagement and learning.

·         Have a professional and positive approach.

·         Have a focus on supporting the mental health and well-being of children.

·         Work closely with the Heads of Year to improve attendance of vulnerable pupils
