BeauSandVer consortium. As a school, our
core values of “Excellence, Character, Respect” permeate all that we
do. We are located in St Albans, a
beautiful and vibrant Cathedral city with a lively cultural life and a huge
variety of restaurants, bars, pubs and shops. Recently named in the Sunday
Times as the best place in the southeast to live, St Albans is surrounded by
beautiful countryside but is still only 20 minutes from London by train and
with easy access to motorways and airports.
The school has good GCSE and A Level results and achieved an
above average Progress 8 score of +0.36 in 2023 for the whole school. It
was judged to be a Good school in all categories by Ofsted in May 2024.
Verulam School is a member of the Ambition Education Trust (AET).
The Ambition Education Trust (AET) consists of ten schools in Hertfordshire;
three primary, one nursery and infants’, one juniors and five secondary. Our
Trust launched in September 2024 following the amalgamation of two established
Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Alban Academies Trust and ATLAS Multi Academy
Trust. As a member of AET, we are able to maximise opportunities for rewarding
careers and opportunities for personal and professional development throughout
our wider organisation. We work together
within the Trust to share best practice, deliver joint training, promote the
highest of expectations and raise achievement for all students.
