We are seeking an innovative subject specialist to join our highly successful and expanding Design and Technology department in our high achieving School with is part of the Ambition Education Trust.
As a Teacher of
Design and Technology, you will plan, prepare and deliver engaging Design and
Technology lessons to our independent and inquisitive learners, ensuring that
they fulfil their potential in the subject and are sufficiently equipped for
life beyond school.
You will be an
enthusiastic and dynamic teacher with excellent computer design skills, who
possesses previous experience of teaching across KS3 to KS5. Excellent
professional and subject knowledge is essential, along with strong practical
skills and workshop experience. We currently provide Resistant Materials and
Systems and Control to GCSE and Product Design at A level.

The Design and
Technology department is vibrant and forward-thinking, with passionate,
dedicated staff and students. This is an exciting time to join the team as we
look forward to the refurbishment, when we will be upgrading and re-formatting
the facilities in a modern and exciting environment, ensuring we remain abreast
of new technologies and innovations.
Verulam places great emphasis
on extra-curricular activity and engagement and benefits from outstanding attendance and exemplary
behaviour.
The school has good GCSE and A Level results and achieved an
above average Progress 8 score of +0.36 in 2023 for the whole school. It
was judged to be a Good school in all categories by Ofsted in May 2024.
