About this Role

Job Opportunity: PA to Principal and Marketing and Events Coordinator

Salary: WAT Grade H (FTE £37,280 - £40,777) actual salary of £34,074 - £38,115 (approx.) per annum.

Contract: Full time, permanent, Term time plus all inset days, plus 2 weeks (41 working weeks)  

Hours: 37 hours per week (8:00am – 4:00pm Mon-Thurs, 08:00 – 3:30 Fri)

Start date: ASAP

Reporting into: Principal 

St Augustine Academy is seeking an exceptional and highly organised PA to the Principal & Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role within the academy, providing high‑level personal assistance to the Principal while leading on the coordination of marketing and communications across the school community.

About the Role

This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced educational environment. You will provide confidential, efficient and proactive support to the Principal, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. Alongside your PA duties, you will play a vital part in enhancing the academy’s profile by coordinating key marketing and communication activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive PA support to the Principal, including diary management, scheduling, preparing documents and handling correspondence.
  • Prepare high‑quality reports, and briefing material for the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the academy’s marketing and communication strategy, including newsletters, social media, website content, and press engagement.
  • Maintain and update the academy’s CMS to ensure accurate and engaging information is published.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of academy events, open days, and community outreach activities.
  • Uphold GDPR requirements and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Support the wider administration team when required to ensure effective operation across the academy.

About You

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using digital platforms, social media, and CMS systems.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to work independently in a school environment.
  • Experience in an education setting or as a PA/administrator is advantageous, though not essential.
  • A positive, professional and approachable manner.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Amendment Order 1986 and, as such, it will be necessary for a Submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
