Elmlea Schools, part of the Russell Education Trust, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Site Officer or an aspiring Site Officer to join our team as soon as possible. This is a crucial role in supporting the Property Team to ensure the smooth running of the school site, including: maintaining the security of the school; carrying out maintenance tasks to a high standard to ensure a safe working environment for students and staff (please see job description for further details). The position would suit a highly organised candidate with practical DIY skills and is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to develop their career or seeking a career change. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be flexible, dedicated and passionate about maintaining a safe working environment for students and staff.
  • Have strong D.I.Y skills and be able to carry out physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and pushing equipment.
  • Be organised, able to multi-task and work closely with the Property Team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in a school environment.
  • Have good IT and administrative skills.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and share the school’s core values

This position is permanent, full-time, all year-round. The hours are from 10 or 10.30am daily until 6pm. We are also willing to discuss part-time, if you would like part-time, please specify on your application. This is an all-year-round role with five weeks annual leave (plus public holidays). Two weeks of this leave can be taken as single one weeks in term time.
