Data Analyst
Location: Challney High School for Boys
Contract Type: Permanent, Term time plus five training days and 5 additional days to be worked over the exam results period.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week. The working day will start at 8:30am and finish at 4:30pm, finishing at 4pm one day a week.
Salary: L4 - Actual salary starting from £24,266 per annum

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-organised, and confident individual to work within the school’s administrative team. We are looking for someone with a positive, friendly approach who has the ability to work independently and as part of a team; they should have the ability to cope with changing priorities, deadlines and interruptions.
The leadership team relies heavily on data-driven insights to tailor interventions for students. You will work in a professional, scholarly environment where your analytical expertise directly impacts student outcomes and school strategy.
You will be responsible for the integrity and analysis of the school’s academic and pastoral datasets.
You must have previous data analyst experience and possess strong communication skills with all stakeholders.
Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse, and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English.
Purpose of the post
The Data Analyst, under the line management of the School Manager, has a vital role to play in providing data-related services to directly support student teaching, learning and achievement. The Data Analyst’s remit has developed from merely collecting and processing data to interpreting it – providing valuable information to various clients, both within school and externally, (whilst adhering to the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts).
The Data Analyst will provide comprehensive data-related services, including updating information management systems, creating student reports and undertaking detailed results analysis/management reporting. Excellent communication skills are required for this post as you will need to work well as a flexible, cooperative team member and provide coherent service to meet the needs of both the schools and its external services.
