About this Role

We are a thriving, inclusive, and forward thinking state boarding school that places high expectations, strong relationships, and student wellbeing at the centre of our ethos. We are committed to developing young people who are respectful, resilient, and motivated to succeed, fostering a culture where excellent attendance, positive behaviour, and high standards underpin academic and personal achievement.

We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring Assistant Principal (Attendance, Behaviour and Standards) to provide strategic and operational leadership across the school. This is a key senior leadership role, working closely with the Principal and wider leadership team to drive sustained improvements in attendance, behaviour for learning, and student conduct.

This area of leadership is central to our school’s success. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of robust systems and interventions, ensuring high expectations are consistently applied and that all students are supported to thrive. You will use data intelligently to identify trends, remove barriers to learning, and promote a calm, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment.

As a forward-thinking school, we value reflective leadership, collaboration, and innovation. The successful candidate will be a visible and approachable leader, passionate about equity, safeguarding, and raising standards for all students, and committed to working with staff, students, families, and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All post-holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) including barred list check.

We strive to be an inclusive and diverse workplace representative of our student population. Applications from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic candidates are especially welcome.
