About this Role

Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School is recruiting a Head of Religious Studies to cover the maternity leave of the substantive post holder from September 2025 for 12 months, or until the substantive postholder’s return. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring leader who is committed to fostering a deep understanding of world religions in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have the vision and expertise to drive curriculum innovation, inspire both staff and students, and contribute to the wider academic life of the school.

Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School is a forward looking, selective state school with academy status and an outstanding record of promoting academic excellence.
