About this Role

Kingsmead School are looking for an effective and excellent Communications and Marketing Manager to lead on the business operations of the school. This post will include managing whole school communications, marketing the Kingsmead brand, leading a small team and supporting in other areas for efficient business operations.

About the School

Kingsmead is a large, oversubscribed school that, despite serving a postcode in the top 20% most deprived parts of England: 

    • Has an ambitious curriculum, with almost an almost exclusively GCSE KS4 and A Level KS5, aiming for 90% EBacc while also having a performing a visual arts specialism. 
    • A track record of above average progress scores in spite of the challenge posed by such an ambitious curriculum. 
    • Exceptional behaviour, with a consistent approach that combines explicit boundaries with the space to build relationships and support those children who need it. 
    • A thoughtfully constructed wider school experience for the children, with an ambitious combination of clubs, trips, careers guidance and wider enrichment. 

    Main Purpose of the Role

    The prime aim of this post is to coordinate and lead the school’s administrative, reception, media and resources functions to ensure learning materials, information systems, communications and operational processes are of the highest possible quality. The role includes line management responsibility and supports the effective delivery of the curriculum, pastoral systems and whole-school operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Content Management for the school website, Social media, public facing communications
    • Line Management of the Reception Team
    • Supporting with SAR requests and being first point of contact as DPIA
    • Supporting with Recruitment processes
    • Supporting with organisation of school events
    • Record Keeping on the school's MIS
