About Us

We are a small, nurturing Independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) School dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication differences, and social, emotional, or mental health needs (SEMH). Our highly personalised approach, small class sizes, and therapeutic environment allow every learner to feel valued, understood, and supported to achieve their full potential.

We are now seeking a compassionate, committed, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting learners’ learning, independence, and wellbeing throughout the school day. You will work closely with our class teachers, SENCo, and therapeutic staff to deliver high quality, individualised support.

  • Assisting with behaviour regulation using a positive, trauma informed approach

  • Helping create a safe, calm, and engaging learning environment

  • Supporting learners with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

  • Contributing to planning and assessment alongside the class teacher

  • Supervising learners during break, lunch, and transitions

No two days are the same, and you will make a meaningful difference to the lives of our amazing young people.

 About You

  • Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure

  • A strong communicator

  • A team player with a flexible, can-do approach

Experience working with SEN learners is desirable but not essential—we welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds and equity; diversity and inclusion are one of our core values.

Full training and ongoing professional development are provided.

What We Offer

  • Small class sizes and a warm, supportive staff team

  • A school culture built on kindness, respect, and understanding

  • Tailored professional development

  • Opportunities to learn from specialist SEN and therapeutic staff

  • The chance to make a meaningful difference every day
