About Us
We are a small, nurturing Independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) School dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication differences, and social, emotional, or mental health needs (SEMH). Our highly personalised approach, small class sizes, and therapeutic environment allow every learner to feel valued, understood, and supported to achieve their full potential.
We are now seeking a compassionate, committed, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting learners’ learning, independence, and wellbeing throughout the school day. You will work closely with our class teachers, SENCo, and therapeutic staff to deliver high quality, individualised support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting learners 1:1 and in small groups to access learning
Implementing personalised strategies and interventions
Assisting with behaviour regulation using a positive, trauma informed approach
Helping create a safe, calm, and engaging learning environment
Supporting learners with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Contributing to planning and assessment alongside the class teacher
Supervising learners during break, lunch, and transitions
