We are looking to appoint a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor who can engage students and maintain a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is keen to develop their understanding of teaching and learning.

The successfully appointed cover supervisor will;

  • Deliver lessons for absent teachers, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set.
  • Engage students and maintain a positive, purposeful learning environment 
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour in line with the Academy’s behaviour curriculum.
  • Teach up to GCSE level; supporting all learners, including those with SEND, and stretching high achievers.
  • Cover across different subjects and key stages, making every day varied and offering insight into multiple curriculum areas
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Act as a form tutor and support pastoral systems where required.

Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity graduates considering a future in teaching and looking to gain valuable classroom experience, as well as education professionals seeking a long-term support role in education. You’ll gain hands-on classroom experience, develop behaviour management skills and work closely with experienced teachers—perfect preparation for future teacher training or a rewarding career in schools.
