We are looking for a Teacher of Geography to inspire curiosity, ignite a love for the world around us, and deliver dynamic, engaging lessons that empower every student to succeed. If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to make a real impact, we want you to join our ambitious academy.

Key responsibilities:

• Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
• Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in your classes
• Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment.
• Maintain a secure knowledge and understanding of your subject(s) and related pedagogy to enable you to teach effectively at the Academy
• Know how to use skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT to support your teaching and wider professional activities

Pay range:  MPS/UPS with a Recruitment & Retention Allowance of £3,000 -  full time teaching hours, permanent role

Qualifications and Skills:

•        5 GCSEs including Maths & English
•        Degree in related subject specialism
•        Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
•        Effective classroom management
•        Ability to encourage students in developing self esteem and respect for others
