Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that inspire curiosity and support strong academic progress.

• Contribute to the development of an innovative and inclusive curriculum within the English department.

• Create a positive and purposeful learning environment that meets the needs of all learners.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to share best practice and raise standards.

• Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities, clubs, and events that promote a love of English.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Strong subject knowledge in English and a commitment to outstanding teaching

• A passion for education and belief in the potential of every student

• A collaborative, reflective, and adaptable professional approach

• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people

• Experience teaching across Key Stages 3–5
