Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Responsible to: Operations Director
Start Date: December 2025
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting students in their learning during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will facilitate a calm and productive classroom environment, ensuring pupils are engaged and supported in completing the work set by their teacher. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for education and a desire to inspire young people.
Key Duties Include:
Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work in the absence of a teacher
Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining classroom discipline
Supporting students to stay on task and achieve their best
Assisting with extra-curricular activities, events and wider school life
Providing supervision during breaks, lunchtimes and school events
What We’re Looking For:
A commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos and values of our school
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
The ability to manage a classroom effectively and with confidence
Experience working with young people (desirable)
A calm, flexible and supportive approach
