About this Role

Radley College invites applications for a Teacher of Maths to join our successful department in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly and collegiate school community.

Mathematics is extremely strong at Radley. Single Maths is always the most popular choice at A level and, currently, Further Maths is also extremely popular. We offer EDEXCEL IGCSE in the Lower School, alongside OCR Additional Maths for the 50 or so most able, who sit IGCSE a year early. At A level we offer EDEXCEL. The successful applicant will have a significant share of Sixth Form work. The department consistently produces some of the best results in the College.

Radley College is committed to the highest standards of professionalism and quality in our teaching, and can provide opportunities for teacher training and development. We have an increasingly diverse pupil intake and we are looking to increase diversity within our Common Room. We therefore encourage and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Some of our staff joined Radley straight from university, others after taking a PGCE. Some had taught in independent schools, others had not – and some had not taught before. For some, teaching has become their second (or third) career. There may be opportunities for those who don’t have teaching experience to gain a PGCE during their time at Radley.

College has its own very competitive salary scale and this position comes with accommodation which is free of rent, council tax and water rates.
