About this Role

Radley College is inviting applications for Language Assistant roles in French, Spanish, and German for the 2025–26 academic year.

The Language Assistant will support our dynamic and friendly modern languages department for the 2025–26 school year (1 September 2025 to 30 June 2026) for up to 30 hours per week.  The successful

candidate will speak the target language to native standard and have an interest in language learning or perhaps a career in education. A willingness to get involved in broader aspects of boarding school life is preferable.

About the Role:
As a Language Assistant, you will support students in developing spoken fluency and cultural awareness. You will work closely with language teachers, lead small group conversations, and play an active role in classroom activities and language events.

French - 30 hours per week

Spanish - 25-30 hours per week

German - 12-14 hours per week

These positions may come with accommodation (shared) that is provided rent-free with a small contribution to utilities. 

Free meals during term time and subsidised membership of the College sport facilities. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Native-level proficiency in French, Spanish, or German

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and cultural exchange

  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of a boarding school

  • Experience working with young people is an advantage but not essential
