About this Role

Learning Support Assistant – Little Milton Primary School

Part-time (15 hours per week with flexibility possible)

We reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged.

Little Milton C of E Primary School is a small, friendly and nurturing village school with a big heart. We are seeking a caring, patient and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2026.

This role involves providing 1:1 support for individual pupils, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive within our school community.

This is a part-time role for 15 hours per week. We are open to discussing how the hours are arranged across the week for the right candidate.

About the Role:

You will work closely with individual children to support their learning, wellbeing and engagement in school life. This may include supporting pupils within the classroom, delivering targeted interventions and helping children to develop independence, confidence and positive relationships. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is calm, nurturing and committed to helping every child succeed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is caring, patient, and committed to helping every child thrive

  • Builds positive relationships with children and supports their emotional wellbeing as well as their learning

  • Has a flexible and proactive approach to supporting individual needs

  • Works well in a team and communicates clearly with both adults and children

  • Has some experience of working with primary-aged children or children with additional needs (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)

  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to get involved in all aspects of school life

In return, we can offer:

  • A warm, supportive staff team and a welcoming village school community

  • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference to individual children

  • Opportunities for professional development

  • Beautiful surroundings and a school with a strong ethos and values

  • The chance to work in a small school where every child is known and valued

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
