General Assistant (Catering) 12.5 hours per week, Term time plus 4 days 12 midday to 2.30pm Band 1: £24,413 per annum (£7,050 pro rata, equivalent to £12.65 per hour) 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our highly motivated and hard-working Catering team at Seaton Valley High School.

You will be required to achieve high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in our busy kitchen. You will be involved in preparing and serving food, handling payments and washing up/cleaning down the kitchen at the end of each service. 

Our kitchen provides a break and lunch service for students aged 9-18 so you will need to be able to work well with children and young people, as well as part of a team.   

The working hours are 12 midday to 2.30pm Monday to Friday, you will work term time, plus 4 days for deep cleaning, during the holidays.

Able to work independently or as part of a team, you will ideally have previous experience of food preparation and serving in a commercial setting as you will be required to operate a range of kitchen equipment and work to the school’s health and safety protocols.  Excellent attendance, reliability and punctuality are important to us and the ideal candidate will also have some flexibility with their working hours.
