Lacrosse Coach (Part-Time)

Location: Haberdashers’ Girls’ School, Elstree
Hours: Part-time, flexible hours based on fixture schedule
(Monday–Thursday 3.00–5.30pm, Wednesday 2.00–5.30pm, Friday: 3:00pm-4:00pm plus fixtures on Saturdays)

Haberdashers’ Girls’ School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lacrosse Coach to support and develop our successful Lacrosse programme. Working with pupils aged 11–18, you’ll play a key role in nurturing talent, promoting participation, and delivering high-quality coaching across a wide range of abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach a variety of lacrosse squads in collaboration with the Head of Lacrosse.
  • Support the planning and coordination of fixtures, ensuring they are uploaded to SOCs and match-day logistics are well managed.
  • Accompany teams to away fixtures and competitions, driving the school minibus where necessary.
  • Assist in delivering consistent and progressive coaching strategies in line with the school's lacrosse development plan.
  • Contribute to games sessions and help support both players and staff as directed by the Head of Lacrosse.
  • Help organise and deliver pre-season training and attend major lacrosse tours and national competitions, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Build relationships with local clubs and feeder schools to support recruitment and player development.
  • Lead by example and support other coaches in their professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Level 1 lacrosse coach certificate (Desirable)
  • Level 2 lacrosse coaching certificate (Desirable)
  • Umpire Level 1 (essential)
  • Current DBS
  • Full driving licence (essential)
  • First Aid training (desirable)
