Our vision is for all our community to ‘Shine as Lights in the World’. What does this actually mean?
It means we are committed to developing our children and staff, not only as confident lifelong learners, but also as well-rounded, successful individuals.
We deliver an exciting and varied curriculum as shown by the experiences that the children engage in at our school. Our curriculum is underpinned by our vision and our monthly values. Strengthening these are the sporting, musical and nurturing opportunities on offer.
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated teacher to join our creative and hardworking team. We would like to appoint someone who is committed to raising standards of learning and has a flexible and caring approach. The post is from September 2026. We welcome applications from ECTs, as well as experienced teachers.
If you are an ECT, you will benefit from support by an experienced mentor and dedicated release time.
You can expect to receive the following benefits whilst working at St. Michaels:
St Michael’s is a one-form entry C of E primary school and is an Ofsted GOOD school. We also have close links to St Michael’s Church, which is opposite the school.
We would love you to visit our school, and meet our friendly staff, as well as the children. Please call the school office on 01438 813267 to make an appointment. Look on our website www.woolmergreen.herts.sch.uk to find out more about us.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is of course a top priority and we expect commitment to this from all staff. All appointments are subject to pre-employment checks including a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check, online searches and a health check.
Please note we will carry out social media checks prior to interview.
We may interview as we receive applications, therefore we reserve the right to close the job vacancy earlier, should the right candidate be found.
