About this Role

We have opportunities for Teaching Assistants to join Cann Bridge, a special school for learners aged 4-19 with severe learning difficulties. Our school values reflect being aspirational, learner-focused, collaborative & progressive.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include implementing individual education plans (IEPs) known as Personalised Learning Goals and personalised learning strategies, collaborating with teachers and professionals, assisting with personal care tasks and helping learners develop social and emotional skills.

Cann Bridge School is seeking candidates who are eager to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become excellent Teaching Assistants. An appropriate Level 2 qualification is desirable, we also welcome candidates who are willing to work towards this qualification within their probationary period. We are looking for individuals who are calm, patient, have a good sense of humour and are committed to their own professional development.

We require additional Teaching Assistants for our growing pupil population and the increasing number of learners requiring 1:1 support. Hours: 29.25 hrs per week. Mon 9.15 am – 4.00 pm, Tues-Friday 9.15 am to 3.30 pm
